Martin Luther

Whatever happens in life I keep on running or rolling… But I still take note and respond to the world around me. I see America and the world rolling towards an end. We are the current Rome. In addition, I have heard historians say that the President reflects the people. And it is extremely telling that the people we want to be President are those that they are. No matter, as Election Day looms ever nearer, I will still vote and I will still respect the office. One thing I will not budge on is that I won’t let people disrespect the office of President of The United States in my presence even if I don’t care for the person that holds that Office. This stance is not, however, original.

One of my all time favorite guys, Wayne Price, tells the story how he and some family members were poking fun at whomever was in the Office the time of a family event. He distinctly remembers his grandfather  interrupting them and telling them to stop. He may disagree with the man (or woman) in office, he had said, but he would have no blaspheming of the Office in his house. Wayne remembers this because it was one of the only times his grandfather did not smile.

I Thought about Martin Luther today. Did you know that today is the day he posted the 95 theses to the door of Wittenberg in 1517?

“I call all times soon” said Aslan.
